We are pleased to announce the new course being taught at Charles University in Prague as part of the project “Korea and the Eastern Bloc: Past, Present, and Future Development.”
The guarantor is Mgr. Lukáš Kubík, but the course will have a multitude of interesting lecturers not only across Charles University but also across other notable European institutions.

A one-semester course primarily designed for students of Korean studies who wish to acquire basic knowledge and skills in the field of social sciences. The aim of the course is to provide students with an overview of the main disciplines of social sciences, such as sociology, political science, ethnology, library science, history, literature, structuralism, and digital humanities, and to connect these fields with Korean studies. The course focuses on general methodology and current developmental trends in social sciences, with a special emphasis on their application in the study of Korean culture, society, and history. Each lecture will be presented by a specialist in each field.
